Replaced the rear dually tires Friday

Replaced the rear dually tires Friday, now I'm complete with fresh rubber all the way around.

I really liked the way that the two front replacement Coopers HTP tires handled and felt on the front. And with the current price Discount Tire is running plus a $50 rebate it only made sense to do the deed before winter months set in. After all they say it's going to be a colder and wetter winter here in Texas.

Total cost for all 6 tires mounted, balanced, taxes out the door was just under $902. Dam these dually truck come with some cost....LOL!!! Of course if I deduct the $50 rebate it comes to $852. And then considering I used my Rancho rebate Visa card for another $106 of the purchase my cost is not only $746. Yeah, now I'm feeling better about the whole tire deal.

Unless I add in that windshield I had to replace on my truck Tuesday for $211.47.

Sure am glad I like this truck.

And winter tires for me for 4 tires for a 'good deal' are $1200... And that is with using my existing rims....

Glad you are happy with the new tires.

Been there, done that, chose not to do it again......LOL Had a very nice Canadian fly down to Texas with a cashiers check in hand. Picked him up at DFW Airport, we signed some papers and I gave him directions out of town.

Do the 19.5s last longer than the 17s?

Technically they should. They are 14-19 ply tires. I've heard many say they can run for 100k easily. Not sure I'll ever know though.

Thing I didn't care for was trying to find a place that could mount and or balance the 19.5 tires and wheels.

I ended up purchasing Centramatic Balancing rings for both my F450 and F550 trucks. They were well worth the money.

I believe I have 14 plys, so I'll replace mine when I get through the first 10 plys....those are my wear indicators

I thought those were small traction paddles. I do know that in Texas wet black clay they don't work worth a darn.

Wear indicators, who da thunk.

Yes, I am joking. But, it would probably be surprising how many drivers out on the road have no idea as to their real purpose.
