Time To Do A Major Service-Lets Get This DONE!!!

What I need here is everyone's experience doing their maintenance.

What i mean by this is every filter, fluid and fitting I need to look for and especially the ones that are easily forgotten.

No such thing as a stupid reply...well, almost! (i.e. piston return springs, blinker fluid, changing out winter air for summer air in the tires...)

Filters and fluids-part numbers, manufacturers, viscosity and tranny type, rear end lubes...even quantities if you have them.

Be nice to have all this info in one place for future reference.

So let's do this!

2002 Excursion Limited
7.3 PSD
(not sure on tranny???)

I don't remember whats all in the tech folder up top that Tugly mentioned, but Guzzle has some write ups on most of the fluid changes right here.

The OEM replacement fuel filter has a moisture barrier built into it whereas most auto parts store filters do not. This is located in the fuel filter bowl on top if the motor behind the HPOP. Another is the ICP sensor. Use an OEM replacement as it has RF (radio frequency) shielding built in. Again, most aftermarket ICP's do not have RF shielding. Using an aftermarket ICP could subject the PCM to erroneous ICP readings causing the motor to run rough and possible set an SES light.

Even though OEM replacement parts are more expensive, they are highly recommended as they have clear advantages. My $.02 worth...
