P164A- on my 2011 F350

So the check engine light is on again and my code reader says P164A. NICE! This is my work truck and I really do not have the time to drag it to a dealer----. IF I replace this NOX sensor, will the light ever go out and will I live happily ever after????????????????????

replace the sensor and disconnect the batteries. sometimes just plain emissions items the disconnect will clear the light.

or go to a auto parts store and have them clear it. If they have a newer code reader they may see it since it is emissions.

have them clear the specified function "nox sensor", then do a manual regen, THEN clear codes.

Got that code literally 15 minutes after I drove my truck brand new off the dealer lot back in 2011. Cleared it and never resurfaced in 45,000km. Now it just isn't hooked up anymore.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order, was hoping to avoid it.

You need an edge CTS.They just put this option in one of there latest updates.I rarely use it.I used it once because I was in middle of regen and got home and wanted to finish it.Makes your truck sound like a jet in your driveway.But it has its uses.
