Bud wheel tool
Bud wheel tool anybody havé a picture or Know where i CAN buy one! Never seen one but was told by my dad it would hold on the squire bud,While a gear would turn around the shaft removing 1-1/2 nut!

Watch eBay, they are on there fairly often. I'm using my phone so can't post a picture but suspect one of the others can/will. I think I paid $50 +/- for mine. In the end, however, you can't beat having a big air gun to do the job right. Budd lug nuts are both left hand and right hand threaded, and are torqued dry to between 450 and 500 lb/ft of torque. After having spent decades peacefully doing their work they won't want to willingly come apart even with use of the gear reduction tool. Stu

After years with a wrench and 5' piece of pipe as a cheater bar, my dad bought a used Schramm V4 compressor and a 1" drive Toyo impact wrench.
That compressor was loud enough to wake the dead, but the wrench didn't struggle much on those lugs. The compressor couldn't keep up with it, so you had to pace yourself a bit. My dad found a 1" socket set for very little money at a pawn shop.
One of my buddies suggested just dropping it off at the truck tire store while you go back to productive work. Silly idea, why do productive work when you can cripple yourself working on truck tires?

I broke down a bought a Chicago Pneumatic 1" gun, and teamed with my Quincy they come off like butter. Also bought a 600 lb/ft Snap On, and haven't touched the cheater bar since. Stu

I already took them apart ,and had to replace a few nuts and bottles. Just would like to have that old tool! Too carry in the truck. But never really saw one!

That's not the one I thought Bernette had in mind. There's a gear reduction tool that allows the inner nut to be held while the outer is removed. That's what we need a picture of. Wish I knew how to do a link from my phone. Stu
