Replace fuse box??????
I have a 2000 Lincoln Navigator 5.4 2wd and I have been having some electrical problems. I tested my fuses and some were not reading but they are still in great condition. This is both for the engine fuses and the fuses inside my truck. I took out the fuses and tested the fuse box by placing my circuit testers in the slots and it would not read on the ones that showed up as my fuses being bad. I then tested the good fuses the same way and they did test as working.
Do you think I should replace the fuse box or do you have any other ideas of what could be going on?

Yes. I even tried starting my car. I read a bunch of complaints about the windshield leaking and it causing the electrical problems by leaking in the passenger fuse panel and the gem. Ford motor company also acknowledged this as a problem but not willing to do anything about it. It's under Ford special message #15773. If you google it you can see just how many people this is happening to. And of course it rained today.

2004 Expedition
Here I came to the forum to report what I thought was an unusual problem then I saw your post.
This just happened to my wife's 04 Expedition. She has been having an intermittent idle surge over the last month. No check engine light. I cleaned the K&N filter but no help. 2 days ago it stalled completely and would barely idle. She heard buzzing from the fuse box/component module and found a wet connector. Water seeping into it down the bundle. No evidence of water anywhere else. No time to deal with it myself so had it towed to a shop.
They reported a windshield seep that has been happening a for a long time. Found mold growing on some of the connector pins. Going to replace the box.

How much is that going to run you if you don't mind me asking? It's Ford Motor Company's fault and they will do nothing about it! I am reporting mine through anyone who will listen! I need to get enough reported to get it on the recall list. I am amazed that its not already on there with all the complaints I have seen!

You lucked out! I have seen some crazy amounts in the thousands! I will be doing the work myself as it looks like currently. Did you have any issues with your GEM? Also, do you know if they have to actually rewire or just replace the box?

My problem is on the right side fuse and relay box. Fwd of the passenger door. That is being replaced.
