Door lock actuators, known problem with all Ford Super Duties. Zillions of posts on how to fix.
Not 100% of the time.
If you can hear the actuator trigger when you hit the button, then yes, check the resistor fix for the actuator (search the thread for 'tinfoil fix').
If the actuator isn't moving the lever at all (no sound, can't feel any movement when you rest a finger on the lock lever), then it could be the actuator motor is toast (only spinning one direction) or that the wiring has an issue.
You can test the wiring with a multimeter...if you find the wiring is good, time for a new actuator or actuator motor if you can find just that.
Have her try the key pad to unlock the driver door. Then press #3 and that will unlock all the doors. If #3 works for all the other doors then it is isolated to the driver door actuator and not the key pad. Then follow the advice above.
Every once in a while, my remote does not work, so it could be a blip/co-ininkydink that the both happened at the same time.
