Anyone have any issues with ordering from him? Ive read plenty of good stuff on here, but i placed an order on july 31st, and have yet to hear anything. Order still shows that its in processing, and theres no number on the site to call.
Ed's had some health issues as of late. He's been taking some time off from what I've been told but they are still taking and fulfilling orders there. Here's a link to their site complete with phone number:
I see you're in Vegas,I've used these guys and never had any issues and shipping was very fast. They even called me to verify a part I ordered.Stay local and save yourself some cash. Ford Parts - Silver State Ford Parts
Placed an order on August 1st. No parts nor replies to messages have been received. This is far from my idea of them still filling orders. I am sympathetic to health issues, but am I supposed to believe that one guy alone ships out parts? It is usually a company with poor customer focus that is first to cry "THIS ECONOMY IS KILLING BUSINESS".
I am in no rush to receive the parts and got the referral from the FTE Vendor list. I do expect a reply to an order status inquiry as promised by their site.
Gripes about business issues aside, sincere wishes to Ed for a quick return to good health.
Took a chance and called them today. They are presently unable to view e-mail and were very apologetic about the lack of response. I understand that this happens sometimes.
Partsguyed was able to locate an Aerostar sliding door latch considered obsolete by every site I tried. I truly appreciate that they could find a part when its' number was not recognized by so many other dealer sites. They are shipping my order today. Because this was a hard to locate item, I was prepared to wait for it. Shame on me for getting pissy when I felt my emails were being ignored.
I always try to stay local as possible when it comes to buying parts. I'll do business with partsguyed again in similar circumstances in spite of distance.

Thanks for the follow-up post and thanks for checking in with them. Maybe this will answer some questions folks have that have ordered from them and are still awaiting shipments.
Glad you got it sorted out. Ed has been a stand up guy on this forum for many years. This thread reminds me that I need to give him a call and order a few things for my Expy and F250 as well
I will always give Ed the first crack at my business and being the stand up guy he is, will advise if getting it locally would be better due to weight of shipping. He will help find the right numbers when the local guys can't be bothered researching a COP bolt that bent, and that was only available in packs of 4, and give you the number and his price to use locally.
Horizon's e-mail problems mentioned in Post #5 probably are to blame for that.

Still waiting on part supposed to have been shipped on 8/17 after talking to the counter guy on the phone. Called again today. They have a record of the internet order but still haven't shipped it yet, even though the item is in stock. "The web orders got eaten" I was told. I kid you not.
Two phone calls. Told twice "it will ship tomorrow". This is an 8/1 web order.
Fool me once...
Not sure if my stuff has to do with email issues, but i have tried a few times, the latest this past week and no response. May have to just call I guess.
Just wanted to let everyone know my order was taken care of after calling them. It did take them a day or two to find my order and get it processed, but once it processed it was shipped and received within a few days. I'm not sure if their system is up and running yet, but if you have an issue, they are quick to fix if you call them up
