Wiring Amp-Research Steps
Does anybody have experience installing these on a 2011? The wiring for the passenger side front door is different than the 2010 and earlier trucks. I've tried everything and can't find the plain white wire that I need for that front door. I've given up for now and just grounded that particular wire. The step won't work for the front door but it works fine for the back door for now.

I tried that yesterday without much luck. It appears that you have to follow it the other direction from the 3 wires that I already tapped up to where the white wire comes into the harness. I will find it, I was just hoping that somebody had an easy answer.
As for the cost, I got a really good deal on them, but they usually seem to be around $1100 shipped. I wanted them several years ago on my 06 but just couldn't bring myself to spend the money. When I ordered the 2011, I didn't order any steps on it and applied that money towards the AMPs.

I will get some pictures tomorrow if I have time before it gets dark. I was really impressed with how you do not see them at all when they are closed. I had seen some pictures of Chevy trucks as I recall that the step was visible when closed.
Overall, I wish I had gotten them years ago on the 06! I still have to install the lights, but everything else works like a charm. The only continuing issue that I have is the parking brake cable. No matter what I do with the relocation bracket provided, I can't quite get it to clear the steps when closed. We installed a set on my brother's truck today and his brake cable had less slack than mine so we were able to make it clear 100%.

Just this week I removed the King Ranch Chrome Steps and installed the Amp Steps on my 2011 F250. I've really enjoyed having them!!
The white wire runs out of a flat loom that is behind the kick panel on the passenger side. Once I popped off the kick panel, I had to remove the electrical tape and slide the loom back a little bit to get to it. Unfortunately, it's not under the sill plate like the rest but at least its on that side.
Hope that helps!!

Sorry it took so long to get some pictures, but these days I pretty much leave in the dark and return at night pretty much in the dark. I was able to snap a few pics this morning. Not the best lighting but good enough to give you an idea.
The only problem I have experienced so far is the long driveway at work is asphalt millings with a lot of fines in the mix. Those crazy Michelin tires love to kick that stuff up at any speed including less than 5 mph and it lays up on the front end of the steps. I'm not a big fan of the mudflap look, but I may have to go that route for the sake of the steps and the paint.
Look closely and you can see the LED lights. They are not visible from the side at just about any angle of view.
One thing you will notice as you install these is what a poor job Ford does of getting good paint coverage on the less visible areas. You would think they would develop a more thorough process for trucks that cost $60k+! It's even worse on the two tone trucks. The paint work was much better on my 2006.
