Trans jumping at 35-45mph

1989 Ranger 4x4 2.9 auto, trans rebuilt in 2006.Recently as you travel up a hill or grade when approaching 35-45 mph the truck starts jumping like it comes in and out of gear, when you accelerate it goes away,it sometimes does this at 55 or so also while going uphill. While on flat ground all is well.ASny ideas? Thanks

To start, locate the rubber vacuum line coming off the intake manifold that connects to a long metal tube going to the transmission. Make sure the rubber hose is in good condition there and down by the transmission where the hose connects the tube to a modulator.
