Looking at a bronco II. It is like an 86 or 87. It has a bad auto in it. What would be involved in swaping out the auto for a manual transmission?
I know this is a ranger forum, but I thought there would be a better chance of getting it answered here, and I assume they are virtually identical.
not sure, but we did this t a car a long time ago. Gear ratios really off once done so you will need to consider that also. Once running we could run up to about 50mph in 1st! No power in other gears once going.
But as to a straight swap I cant answer your question, but would guess you can if you use same year parts. Just remember you may have to take more than just the trans, not sure if flywheel is same, plus you will need all linkage from inside the cab to the clutch, so you will need to make sure that the brackets etc are available.
