first if the rear is limited slip is the front also?
second has anyone had problems with their rear end?
I have a real bad vibration but it only happens every now and then and only when cruising not going any faster or slower and around 35-45 mph I had a 94 that had worn and ate up spider gears just wonder if this is a comon problem? By the way this is a 96 f-150 4x4.
It is very rare to have a factory LS in the front axle. Having one in the rear does not mean you have one in the front. I'd say 98% of them do not have a LS in the front axle.
Vibrations usually are causes by bad alignment, incorrect tire balance, incorrect driveshaft balance, bent rim..etc. I wouldn't be looking in the axle for vibrations. It is not a common problem to wear out spyder gears.
The front tires are worn and there is a vib coming from them. But it also gets real bad for a few seconds until you speed up or slow down and it's more of a all over shake through out the truck. I just bought it and plan on getting alighned and new front tires maybe I should just get all new tires but it's going to get 35's in the summer and didn't really want to buy new tires just to take them off in 3 or 4 months. Would the cv joint in the rear shaft also be suspect if it did it only once in a while?
