CCV Intake hole question

I did the CCV mod way back and have a 1/2" brass plug in the hole in the intake piping where the CC vented into the intake....well its been working fine but want a little more re-assurance. So I was looking on the Mcmaster-Carr website and they have flanged plugs that are rated for 140 degrees max temp. Would you guy's trust these in this area of the engine?

Watching my IAT temps after I shutdown the engine I have seen as high as 155 degrees F.

A PVC pipe cap works well in that hole and if you get the kind that's "rated for boiling water" then you won't have a problem. You can retain the plug with gray silicone and a thin hose clamp and it won't ever get enough pressure to come out.

I used a grey barbed plug from the parts store and a zip tie, 2 years and no problem.
