Engine Shutdown

Ok here is a good one. I replaced my cam position sensor 2 years ago. My F350 was shuting down and taking it's good old time to start back up again. It finally would not run for more then a minute.
So now 2 years later it starts up and usually within the first minute it will shut down. The Ford Mechs said that they have never seen the new position sensers fail. So, what is it. It will imediatly start back up every time. I worked on a nissan pathfinder which had a maf senser fail which did this. It had an internal short inside. I know I don't have a maf just a map. The TPF also seems to be changing percentages also. Could it be causing the problem. Grimlins Grimlins Grimlins kill them all.

i dont know if its the same problem but this is what happened to me.
i carry a spare cam censor, and one day my truck just died.. i replaced the censor and the truck did not start at first. just as the tow truck showed up it started. it ran until i got home and it happened again. i drove it to ford and it died in the street as i was turning in to the parking lot. they did a diagnostics and said it was the cam censor. they replaced it and took it for a test drive. 1/2 hour later it was on a tow truck. then they replaced the fuel pump test drove, and back on a tow truck again. the next thing they looked at was the low presser censor on the injectors. all tested good. they said my computer was not reading with the main computer. they replaced the computer and test drove. back again on a tow truck again. now two weeks had gone by. they had three mechanics work on it. they did everything they could and replaced what they could and it kept stalling. one month past.. im pissed at this point. a rep mechanic comes down from ford motor company. replaces the low presser censor they say was good.. its been over a year and no problems.. the total was $4.989
i told them bull**** !!! its not my fault you mechanics couldn't fix it and it was their error over looking a bad part . i worked with the guy from ford and got it down to $2.200. for the new computer, two injectors, one wire harness on left side, fuel pump, low presser censor and a cam censor including their labor ... so i hope it's not the same thing but have them look at it twice and request all of the old parts they change.. im still a little pissed at them. it should had only cost me around $400 if they would had changed the presser censor first..
