transmission issues
well i just picked my new 04 ford f350 sd 6.0 diesel up last thursday and yesterday i was coming up o a stoplight and went from drive down through 3rd 2nd 1st and when stopped went back to drive. the truck took off normal went through first and second gear and seemed to be stuck in third, reved over 3 grand under normal pedal, so i let off and hit it again and it just reved like it was in neutral. duplicated the problem today same exact way, this time i noticed the tow haul was flashing, goes out after key is cycled. went back out for a ride, went from drive to 3rd back to drive, no issue, then from drive to 3rd then 2nd back to drive, no issue, hen from drive to 3rd, 2nd, 1st, back to drive then issue occured, tow haul light and now the mil light. any input on this is apreciated thanks

There are two ways to attack this problem. Pay someone with the right scan tool to be able to read the codes that are stored in memory, or just start buying parts until you find the problem. The first way is a lot faster and cheaper.

just dropped it back off at the dealership today. blows to have to give it back a week after i got it but its time for warranty to do its thing i guess. and time for the wheel berring they owe me too
