Upfitter Switch - 2 Streamlights

I am installing upfitter switches soon. I also have two Steamlight Stingers on chargers plugged into powerports. The problem is they stay charging even when the truck is parked & they use up my powerports although I can easily unplug to charge phone, etc..

I was thinking that when I install the upfitters I would cut the 12v connectors off and hook both chargers to 1 upfitter. The streamlight instruction say to fuse on a 1-5 amp fuse although the pull is usually .5 (1/2) amp..

One of the upfitters is 10 amp - can I just hook both in there & be safe/healthy and have the lights on an ignition on / switch...

Anyone see problems with this? On the battery drain - I had both lights pulling unswitched 24/7 on my 2001 & never suffered a drain because the lights..

Thanx for any help/ comments

The amperage would be fine. But I don't know if the lights would discharge through the chargers when they were not powered. I would think not, but you never know. Maybe someone else would know or you could call the manufacturer and ask if it would be ok to have the lights plugged into the charger with no power to the charger.
