UPFITTER Switches in 2003 6.0 - PROBLEMS

Hey guys,

Today i decided to tackle installing the 05+ upfitter switch kit into my 2003.

Mounted the relay box - no problem
Run wire loom across dash - SIMPLE!!
Plug into back side of CJB (Central Junction Box) - CHECK!

at this point, with the key in the 'Run' position the switches light up when turned on, and the relay's click when the switch is flipped on and off

HOWEVER, there is NO POWER coming to the blunt cut wire for any of the circuits.

It seems to me that there is probably a fuse somewhere for each of the following:

AUX1 - 30 amp
AUX2 - 30 amp
AUX3 - 10 amp
AUX4 - 15 amp

However, since i have a 2003, my fuse panel doesnt have places for these... where are they located in your 05+ trucks ???

a scan of the fuse/relay pages from your 05+ owners manual would be sweet!!

Also, another issue i think might be a problem, is that in my 03, the relay in the main panel thats for the upfitters in the 05's is for the trailer battery charging circuit in mine...

Has anyone here done this before ? what'd you do ?

ALSO;

I was going over the electrical schematic for the upfitter circuits in the 05's, and it looks like the fuses for the 2 30-amp switches are in a place called the "Battery Junction Box" and the other two are in a place called the "Smart Junction Box"

Anyone have any idea where these junction boxes are?

1st, there is no need to post the same question in multiple forums. 2nd, the upfitter switches are 30amp and 10amp, so your AUX4 is a 10amp, not 15.

Here is a link to the schematics: https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/non-html/Q117.pdf

And did you follow this how-to? https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...info-here.html

It will explain where to move wires and install fuses to power up your switches.

A quick search would yeild you this information that is located in the Super Duty Tech Folder.

That said, welcome to FTE!

I wasnt sure which forums received the most traffic, if you like, the other thread can be removed. I was just looking for an answer quickly since driving around with no dashboard in my truck kind of sucks

I just realized that it is 30/30/10/15 in the 2008 Super duty's, i simpy misread that PDF that you linked to when i was reading it last night... actually found that PDF on this site last night...

The article you link me to is EXACTLY what I am looking for, and my searches last night did not yeild that, so for that, I thank you profusely!!!

No problem. Just for future knowledge, check the Super Duty Tech Folder and the 6.0L Tech Folder as they both have the answers to the most common questions and then some.
