Shell can't be selling the Rotella synthetic and NOT saying its a blend, I really don't think its a blend anyway.......also is the 5w40 stuff ok for us down on the sandbar like Frank & I??

Its fine for us beach folk.
The 5 means nothing for us, its the 40 that counts.

Rotella 5W-40 is FULL syn. I've been running it for years quite successfully. Rotella now makes a syn blend and dino in 15W-40...

Good stuff, Guys!!!! I just changed my oil yesterday (second one with Rotella 5w40 full synthetic) ran this one 10k miles, just sent Blackstone a sample, fingers crossed for the results......BTW: I run a Purolator PURE ONE filter.....

After filter cleaning it. Pour a quart or so in the tank when filling with fuel. If you allow the percentage to get too high the exhaust gets dark and it smells bad.
