bought these banks headers for a ford V10 but i didn't do my homework before i bought them! i think they r for a motor home and not a super duty! what do you all think??
Are you planning to slice n' dice a set of V10 headers for your 5.4l?
Motorhome headers for the 2V 6.8l. http://bankspower.com/products/show/335/81 Banks makes long tubes for the 2V and 3V 6.8l in the motorhomes. They do not make a 3V V10 header for the SD though.
I concur I had the JBA headers, but they all have to look about the same to be shoe-horned into the engine compartment. The headers won't be "too much" bigger than the factory manifolds.
Just to help in clarification. If the headers are made to bolt up directly to the Y-pipe the same as the stock manifolds they are considered short tubes.(shorties) If the headers primaries extend past the inlet flanges on the stock y and the headers come with a new Y-pipe they are considered long tubes. Though considered long tubes they look more like mid length headers.(Comapred to mustang headers) The motorhome headers are the mother of all long tubes. The primaries on my Thorleys actually extend down to around the level of the oil pan.
