Window Fell, broken regulator

I know this has been discused in detail, but when the window falls, it's just a regulator failure, right?

Just replace that part and that's it?

Saw some for around $100 shipped....

Do they break again, or do they make a better qualitly regulator with less plastic?

HI, we carry window regulators for your truck. Here's a link to them on our site.

I need the part for a 04 (new body style) crew cab passenger rear door.

If I found it right, it looks like it's $140 where most are $80.

If there is anyway you could help on the price, please pm me.

Does anyone know if some regulators are sold without the motor?

I've found 3 so far:

one for $43 +$10 shipping
one for $110 + 15 shipping
one for $140 shipped.

You can usually buy a regulator with or without a motor. Be CAREFUL as the door skin is razor sharp. You will cut your hands and arms if not very careful and even then you'll get cut. On many Ford/Lincoln power window motors they use plastic planetaries. They dry out and break into small pieces after a few years. The window will sometimes go down by itself and won't move properly when the UP/DOWN switch is pressed. Instead of replacing the motor I rebuild it by replacing the plastic planets with 1/2" long sections cut from a 3/8" shoulder bolt. I've been doing this for years on Fords.
