replacing window regulator

We are replacing the window regulator on my 1993 F250.

We are down to removing the retainer clips and aren't quite sure how to do it??

any ideas?

Any other tips on finishing?

Thanks!

oh there are 3 bolts holding the motor onto the door its easier to get it off that putting it back on but if u have some one helping u then its not hard either way

unbolt the motor from the door with the window halfway down i think..... i dont remember .... any way i left mine plugged in so i could mover the arm up and down if i needed to

but any way have one person hold the window while the other removes the regulator/motor

it slides to one side or the other

Thanks.

My truck has 5 bolts/rivets/??? holding the motor on. They look like rivets on one side, but on the other side it feels like some type of clip, almost like a wingnut but with 4 wings.

I think he'll end up taking it down and have our neighbor help.
Between a machinist and a mechanist, they SHOULD be able to figure it out.

lol oh yea i forgot about the rivets.... its been so long since i changed mine....

but i do remember after i got the motor/regulator undone from the door it just slides out the side of the track on the bottom of the window...

i drilled those rivets out and replaced them with some bolts...

i was by myself when i changed mine so upon reassembly i had some self tapping sheet metal screws little short fat ones lol...

any way i ran those in the mounting holes where the rivets where from the factory to holt it while i got a bolt for it....

i still have the sheet metal screws in coz they held so tight and havent backed out or lossened and its been 5 years....
