I'm thinking about buying the AE total ford bundle from RiffRaff diesel but i'm not that great with computers so my question is how hard or easy is this software to use. Do I have to take a computer class first before I learn how to use it. What do you guys think about it.
Having the collective FTE knowledge makes it much easier. I am also happy to help walk you through if you need. Here is a link that has a couple things on it as well.
The actual use of the software is about as easy as using this forum. The biggest misconception that people have with any kind of OBD II reader or software is it will tell them what part to change. They do not work quite that well (yet). As long as you understand that, I agree it is a tool you should have in your arsenal.
If you do not have a factory repair manual or a subscription to something like All Data, you should really consider it along with this tool. It will help you allot when troubleshooting.
Thanks you guys, well instead of taking my truck to ford and give them my money I will buy this instead. I have two 7.3 so im sure this will save me lots of money when the time comes to fix my other one when it breaks.
