strange tranny clunk
Anyone noticed a slight clunk when their 5sp auto trans shifts into 3rd?
My truck has the 6.0 with a superchips tuner, and it seems to do it in any program including stock. The truck is an 05 with 71000 miles, and the fluid was changed at about 50000. Any feedback would be helpful, thanks!

Just about all of them do it. It's a one way clutch that engages during the 2-3 shift. It doesn't hurt anything. There is a way to fix it, but it's not going to be cheap.
The gas versions of the TorqShift have a one way clutch with less slack. That one doesn't clunk. It is a direct replacement for the one in your trans. All you need to do to change it is remove the trans, tear it down, and rebuild it with the new clutch.
