I need to adjust my beams to where they shine in a more effective position. How do I go about doing that. I mean I understand doing it at night with something to reference off of ie:flat road, garage door, etc. I need to know what hardware to move to adjust it. Is it the LONG screws with the 4mm heads or the smaller ones with the torx looking center?
Lube the adjusters a couple times unless they are already loose, Be careful not to snap them off....very delicate! (or I got ham fisted with the last one)
Measure the head lights from the floor to the center of both lamps and between center to center of the lamps. Transfer these measurements to a wall or garage door ect. Be sure to mark the center between the lamps too. Position the truck about 10 feet away from a wall be sure to keep it on center. Turn on the low beams. I do not have the exact dimensions for the following and you'll need to eye-ball this part since the light beam is getting fairly wide at this distance, try to use the center.
The right head lamp can be higher than the right and a little towards the ditch.
The left lamp should be a little low and straight ahead.
Take it for a ride, if passing cars flash their brights at you then you have one or both too high or the left lamp is to far left.
