need a master cylinder cap

does anyone know where i can buy JUST A CAP for a wagner master cylinder?
i have an 89 f250 w/a 7.3 diesel. cap broke and cant find a new one without buying a new master cylinder. no junkyard around me has one.

Most parts stores have a HELP! section. This section has several different styles of master cylinder caps and gaskets for those caps. They should be able to order one for your truck if they don't stock it. I am 99% sure there is one in that line to fit it.

i have never heard of a help! section but i will check and no parts store around here even has a cap for my truck in their system

That plastic cap? Ware are you at? I replaced the MC on my 89 F250 HD a while back. Keep the old one as ..... well one never knows LOL but you pay shipping you can have the cap.

It won't be in the system. They will either have to get out a catalog and look for it there or go look on the shelf. I worked in auto parts sales for ten years. I know its there. It will cost less than the freight on the used one offered too.

Its just a couple of caps. The HELP! line is in red packages.

The Help's line is made up of odd known problem parts. Like window cranks, door handles, water pump bolts, tailgate cables. Its aftermarket stuff for things that get broken or lost easy. Your local parts store should have a rack or a couple of those spinning racks with the HELPS line. I know they had the older master cylinder covers not sure on the newer ones.
