Chip W/No Gauges?

idk man i would save your coinage on a dp tunner with customs tunes and everythign once your work picks back up. get some solid gauges and stare at how pretty they are until you can get your chip and get it all the tunes you wnant at once. thats what i did. one more reason to wait till spring to get your tunner is the snow and everything will be a damper on your fun factor with the chip...also the cold weather, i ususally let my truck warm up in stock before i go play. thats if youget cold weather where you are(forgot to check sig)

You got some advice in your other thread and this thread on having Jody send you a computer flashed with one his programs, that's what you should have done since you were replacing a PCM anyway. But if you can't wait and can't stand it, then take the advice of others and just have Jody put a tune on your computer and call it good for a while. Just don't lay in to it for a long period of time without a pyro.

True True. Ya I dont think I'll go with a chip for now unless I can get one for a screamin deal. I'll most likely end up paying around $300 for gauges and go from there. If I cant afford the tuner after that then I'll just have to wait. Hopefully only until my tax return ha. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the Link! I called the guy. He says that they are autometer z-series (Black background, White numbers, Red pointer). He said that the boost gauge doesn't work well. He said that it is reading 14psi after he put on new up pipes and there is not a leak anywhere to be found. Kind of curious if it is actually the gauge that is messed up. Autometers shouldnt go bad like that. I am first in line for them. I am sending him my email and he will be sending me pictures. He thought about throwing his buddies boost gauge into his truck to see if it is the gauge or if there is actually a leak somewhere. He said $200 + shipping for the pod, pyro, and trans gauges. He also said that he could order up the boost gauge for me and then charge me 250 + shipping for the whole thing but I can order it up. What do you guys think?!
Depending on the future mods of your truck and finances, you can always add additional tunes later if you pick a switch on the fly PMC inserted chip. The guys look like they got you on the right path with tune options, good luck.

Bryce - I will keep my eyes pealed for you, i know how your itchin and trust me, its soooo worth the wait. dont waste your money on an sct or anything like that. i bought a hyperpac before i know of this site. all the bells and whistles. full touch screen did everythign you coudl image......i cant even describe to you how diferent the DP tunner is..keep in mind that hyperpac was around 800
i go on crack list once a day or so to look for stuff. ill keep you in mind brotha

. Bryce, forget about the Superchips too, it worked for me at the time but its nothing compared to custom.

and it sometimes bites me in the butt 
having to do things twice. I'll just do the gauges for now and if money permits when I get my tax return then I will tune it up. Glad to help Bryce. You can't beat a deal like that with a stick, the fella is making it real nice for yaa. You can get a can of paint from Clay for your pillar to color match your interior. See. I told you that I am anxious to get something. I say that I am going to wait but yesterday before I decided that, I had emailed and pm'd people about items. Is this too good of a price to pass up?

Its all good. Its not the end of the world. You were the one to give me a wild hair to get a chip/tuner asap though haha. Just got a call from a guy with superchips. He wanted 120 bucks for it and couldn't set it to stock so it would cost me another $100 to make it work. I told him NO WAY! Aren't you proud?
