Are these continuous memory or active key on engine running?
Or some of each?
Any active Key on engine off?
Did you check that the SPOUT plug is in place?

Judging from you current situation, it's time you looked for yours! See link: spout

The Plug is removed when base timing is checked or adjusted. Forgetting replacement of the Gray plug after timing adjustments occurs frequently.

More diabolical, it is "intentionally" removed & left out, to hide a "Ping under load problem" from an unsuspecting buyer. This is because your timing will remain static, w/ no ECU advance w/o the plug in place.

What does your timing read?
