ok, got a few trouble codes on my moms truck, not sure wtf they are pointing to being wrong.... heres a list and what the code reader said
P0135 dont recall what that said
P1130 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Adaptive Fuel Limit - Bank No. 1
P1132 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Rich - Bank No. 1
P1351 Ignition Diagnostic Monitor circuit Input fault
P1359 Spark Output circuit fault
As far as running, theres a miss that comes and goes. shifting is speratic and it seems to hunt for a gear, when i give it light gas, it doesnt accelerate for a minute, then just hits. any help would be great, thanks in advance

According to my service manual, P0135 is defined as "Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater (HTR 11) circuit malfunction." Sounds like it could be a wiring problem- bad ground maybe.
I can't really help you on the other two o2 sensor codes.
This could be a wiring issue related to the IDM or the IDM itself could be bad.

I don't have this code in my service manual- but it sounds like this could be an issue related to the ignition coil. Try testing primary and secondary resistance on the coil to see if it falls within spec.

If there's a miss that could be the coil issue I was talking about. It's possible that the IDM code could be triggering the miss, as well as affecting the shifting problem. Basically the computer is receiving bad information, and so it's trying to compensate for conditions that don't exist.
As for the acceleration, you may want to test the TPS. Just because there's no code for it doesn't mean it's good.
I'd also start checking for vacuum leaks.
Hopefully someone can give you advice on the o2 sensor codes. Good luck and keep us updated.
thanks man, im gonna start checking stuff out today, had my hands full with a million other projects at the same time so this truck has been pushed back. i gotta get it goin so i can get it smog checked.
P1351 Ignition Diagnostic Monitor circuit Input fault
Someone put a Gray ICM on it and it takes a black one.
If you still have the Black one put it back on. They very seldom go bad.
Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1359 indicates a loss of SPOUT output from PCM.
Make sure the SPOUT jumper is in place but also could be from the wrong color ICM.
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0135, indicate a short to ground, open, or short to VPWR in the HO2S heater circuit.

whats the heater circuit? i read that, but no clue what it is.
thanks, there is a gray icm, im trying to find a black one now. ford dealer here says nothing with the name ignition control module. so, im gonna call the smarter ford thats further away, get the number and have these guys order it.
ya, he finally found it. guess they call it a TFI and they want $150 for it. i ordered one from summitracing instead, $60 bucks and its black. all the local auto parts places are gray. thanks for the help guys. after i get it in the mail and installed, gonna clear the trouble codes, drive it around and see what still comes up.
OK, so replaced the icm with one from summit racing, cleared the codes and drove it til the check engine light turned back on. got rid of a couple codes, got some different ones now.
p1359
p0133
p0135
im thinking maybe O2 sensor on the right bank and try again. any suggestions? thanks for the help guys
GREAT so, i cleared the codes, drove it again and got new codes
P1359
P1130
P1131
P0133
P0135
P0172
so, still the 3 codes from before, 1 back from the first time and that last one bank is too rich is new.
