strange click clack noise

I have a 1998 f150 5.4 4x4. i have a strange click clack noise mainly when i make a hard left turn but not always, and sometimes when i turn right. i dont feel anything in the steering wheel and am relativly sure it is coming from the front passenger side someplace. Like i said it dosent always happen but seems to be getting more frequent latley. any thoughts wise ford friends? thanks in advance
