strange click clack noise

strange click clack noise
I have a 1998 f150 4x4 222,000 miles on her (ford power). I have this bad click clack noise mainly when i make a hard left turn and sometimes when i turn right. it dosent happen all the time but seems to be getting more frequent lately. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

First thing I'd check is the front brake calipers, and bearings. Either by themselves or together, worn bearings, frozen calipers can cause this noise. Especially the calipers. If they remain engaged, the resulting heat buildup can warp the rotors enough to thump against the inner brake pads. Usually, you can feel the warped rotor when you apply the brakes.
I just repaired the front brakes on a "Chevy product". Same issue as yours it sounds. The problem in that case was loose caliper mounting bolts. Apparently the other guy didn't torque the bolts.

yea it just got worse on the way home. it started making the noise then the brake pedal got stuck it felt like and wouldnt stop. that happened 3 times on way home. i will check it in the morn. thanks dave for the advice
