Isn't that the regular WallyMart price for Rotella T-6 5W-40?
Is the Valvoline better?

I don't have a diesel, but use the 15W-40

Yes, that is roughly the price for the Rotella syn T6 at Wally World. That's what I run in my truck.

Hey all. Haven't been on in awhile. How is everyone? Doing breaks on the ole' 91 so i can stop in the winter time plowing the driveway. Going to be buying tons of parts over the winter so when it get warm i can get to work. Finishing up my 8 hour driving drug and alcohol classes Saturday. Stupidest 125 dollars spent. Guy is hilarious, he even think the class is useless. Then off to get my license.

part of the driving test is making sure your engine has enough power to do a burnout. dont forget that part.

andy i will be making a trip to get the oil this weekend, i think i will just buy all they have.

jim- the valvoline synthetic 5w40 keeps the 6.0's happier than the 15w40. it also makes cold starts a little easier.

DID ANYBODY ELSE GET HAIL TODAY?!?!?!? at about 3pm in newington there was about 5 minutes of 1/4" hail, with sunny blue skies above. there were some scattered black clouds about, but there really wasnt any wind at the time. i feared the hail would get bigger and destroy my new truck, thankfully it did not get too aggressive.

No Aaron, I meant is there a difference between the Shell Rotella T-6 5W-40 synthetic and the Valvoline that you use of the same weight?

I run the 15W-40 in my 460.

oh........i didnt get that far in the 6.0 reading but something about the valvoline has the 6 liter forum all hot and bothered. if i had to guess i would say the shell is good also, maybe it comes down to money? if its on a good sale though, i need to buy up a bunch of it because i no longer get my oil for free.

now i think i am going to search around and find out exactly why the 6.0 guys like the valvoline so much..........
