Thanks for the reply but the local ford dealer researched the arms and came up with that they are obsolete and that they were $74 if they existed. I guess I will keep looking.

I'd check with NAPA---they might have something suitable for a lot less. There is also a vendor here who specializes in older parts: Blue Oval Ford Parts or something similar---would be worth a try.
Interesting story about wiper arms and different years----I've owned a '97 E250 and now an '00 E250. Replaced the wiper arms with Ford items specific to the '97, $26 each. Did the same for the '00 for $13 each. Since I still had the '97 I swapped them and noticed apart from the part number they were exactly the same, unable to tell the difference! Long story short I'd see if something from a pick up or different year would fit and is still available----can't be that special there's not something that would work.
