Black CPS did it

Well I got my new CPS in today. It took care of the only porblem that the AE had with my truck so far.
Something about #8 cylinder balance or something to that affect. That is the only discrepency I got on all the test I did with the AE. Put the CPS in today did another cylinder contribution test and nothing wrong.

Thanks again to everyone

That's good news, if you took it to a dealer they probably would of told you that you needed a new injector.

.. or all eight injectors, or a new turbo, or a new HPOP...

Tried to rep you but you know. That was funny. I'm sure there are a lot of good dealers out there but for me it is a last resort.

Caverjoe- Question- I asked about the "BLACK" CPS and Ford Store acted as if they had no clue? The after market CPS was Grey and the OEM CPS is Grey? What the difference?

Also, I can not find your original post. But it seems we might have same problems. I am even being told -My OIL Pump is bad. Interesting isn't it? My thread is unexplainable shut off. Would you kindly review my thread for a pattern? Or if you would post your original post - I would like to review you problem and maybe compare?

Sure would like to hear from you. This has me worried sick..

As far as a Black CPS goes you can order that from Clay @ Riffraff Diesel.

Oil pumps don't go bad very often

Just a heads up, you can only compare CPS colors on OEM CPS like International and Ford. Color on the aftermarkets doesn't matter. Ford discontinued the black CPS several years ago, but many have issues with the grey and go back to the black. Since the black isn't made any more it is in high demand and can only be found at specialty places like us or Diesel Orings.

Don't mean to butt in just trying to help.

That leaves more cash output for mods!

PMS is terrible. Never would I have known how bad it can get and I have hardly anything done to my truck in comparison to some of the other brothers.
