I have been in the market for a newer f350 and I came across one that was a lariat crew cab fx4 and had the black interior (seats, and dash with wood grain) but the steering wheel was tan. Has anyone seen anything like this before? It just don't seem quite right, it is the first one that I have seen like this. Also, the carfax is clean.
Where did the truck come from? It's a small point, but here in Arizona a black steering wheel can get so hot after being parked for a few hours that you can't touch it. Maybe that was a reason to change it out?
The truck is listed as a fleet vehicle for 8 months then sold to another dealership then put up for sale. The truck has 16,000 mi on it. It shows three states of ownerships Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. Here is the link so you can take a look for yourself.
Could have been a theft recovery where the thieves tore the column up and the repair shop ordered the wrong color parts. It does contrast with the interior and matches the floor mats, but it looks out of place. For 43K I would definitely investigate it further before buying. In any case it was done aftermarket. They don't ship like that.
Yeah it didn't seem right to me either, I just figured if anyone would know it would be someone here. I'm sill looking, just thought that one looked strange and didn't know why. But you would think that it would be on the carfax if it was really a fleet vehicle. Thanks for all the info.
The tailgate has been replaced with an older one... it is the old 05-07 style with the chrome F-series badge and the oval handle instead of the new style with the square handle and stamped super duty.....
