Surge

Does the 6637 mod cause a truck to surge or does it just amplify it? Now that I think of it I never remember hearing my turbo surge till I installed the 6637.

I don't have a 6637, but due to it's open design, you are more than likely hearing more of what was already there.

If you have a boost gauge you can watch the needle jump around when it's surging.

Like the others have said it was probably there as soon as your chip was installed, you're just hearing it now because of the 6637.

Is it still surging with the WW we put in your turbo? I don't remember it surging when we had the AE hooked to it. Or did you put the chip back on?

Got it . Thanks guys. My sig needs to be updated cause now I have a WW and have removed the TS chip due to some troubleshooting issues. Chip ended up being the problem.

turbo whistle

I remember hearing when i got the truck and I guess got used to it and didnt pay attention to it anymore.Then i thought I was having transmission problems and in a phone call with Brian from BTS about buying a trans from him,he tells me its not my trans its my intercooler boots,and he was right.After the new boots went in it was whistling loud and proud.I also had put in a 6637 kit from riffraff a few months before the boots and hadnt noticed the whistle return.I hear it now though.(I never bought the trans and Brian would not take money from me even though he diagnosed it and saved me 4000 dollars and cost himself a sale.)Check your intercooler bots for leaks it made a BIG difference in mine.
