I have a 2006 F350 with the extendable tow mirrors. Someone sideswiped me while parked and it smashed the glass, leaving it hanging by the heater connections. Anyway, now I have the glass out, but am looking for a FAQ or other source that describes how to put it back, as well as a source to purchase a replacement heated glass. Since this mirror is the power and heated version, it has two screw actuators and 3 plastic pins, all wobbling around on the back of the glass. Not sure the best way to get these all back in the holes, especially since the actuators have these little rubber boots... Any help or pointers to instructions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Yeah not sure if your going to be able to get just the mirror replaced, my uncle broke the glass on his but it was just the XL so he found a mirror that fit and put it in there. Fold in your mirrors!
Excellent, that helps. They discard the rubber dust boots, so I am glad to see it was not just me being dumb. Now I just need a source for the heated, non-signal mirror glass.
Thank you
