Unhappy tow mirror glass replacement?
I have a 2004 F250 Lariat w/ heated power tow mirrors and the large flat glass has been broken and I would like to know if anyone knows how or if it is even possible to replace just the glass (large mirror)?

Yes it's available from Ford, and instructions are included.

Is it a difficult to job to replace, or would it just be easier to replace the entire tow mirror?

The glass does not come with the white plastic fingers, so you need to reuse the old ones. I have never replaced just the glass but it looks like it would be tricky to line everything up.

It takes patience to replace the mirror, but it's a lot cheaper than replacing the whole mirror.

Thanks for the input. I'll order a mirror and give it a try. Just kinda scared of making a bad situation worse.
