Please tell us more about the over heating. What is the indicator of this - does the dash gauge peg out, are you losing coolant, or something else? Does it overheat under normal driving or only when working hard (like towing)?

Do you have access to a code reader?

Are there any mods to the truck that you know of?

What coolant is in it and is the degas bottle at the proper level?

test oil cooler?
the dealer should be able to offer a good diagnosis if you can't figure this one out

Did you have other symptoms that led you to change out the water pump.

See the special instructions for changing coolant in the 6.0... it is not that simple.

Immediate guess: check EOT/ECT differential... if it is large... you bought yourself a new Oil and EGR cooler.

I assume you do not have exhaust gases / oil in coolant.

normal driving dash gauge pegs out havent changed coolant but it is goldish yellow in color after you pull over and check the degas bottle there is little to no coolant once it cools off fluid level returns to full

Are you experiencing any loss of power?

Any DTC's?

Can you hear the cooling fan kick in when it overheats.
