Just installed my 3 inch ATS upgrade housing with a 4" Exhaust. Nice deep rumble. Noticeable increase in response time and power. There goes the gas mileage.
Try rebuilding the engine and doing some fancy machine work so you can crank the boost up to 20+ PSI and see what happens to the MPG.
I would like to just drive up the interstate in cruise mode, but I just can't keep my right foot under control when there is a Dodge anywhere around me.
I just like the expression on their face when a 21 year old Ford passes them by and leaves them in the smoke.
Dave, now your just messing with me. I only cranked up the boost a little (did you read my post about snapping the rod?) and haven't been able to see how much boost I could run because I am going too fast and quickly run out of room . I had it up to 7psi so far. Don't have that much confidence in the brakes as they haven't been gone through yet and they don't seem to be that great to start.
You mind as well just delete that spreadsheet of yours because there are alot of Dodges and Chevys on the road and the numbers will depress you. Or maybe they'll just remind you of the price you pay for having fun.
BTW, I had a pretty good grin going after the first little romp with the new exhaust system.
Wow! That big of a jolt from 7psi, huh bl311? The guy selling me the F250 4x4 dually that I'm going down to Cali to pick up this weekend says that the Banks unit on it produces 10psi!!
I'm really gettin' excited to see what it drives like now....
CJ, The big improvement was uncorking the beast and putting on the bigger downpipe and exhaust. The truck at 6psi boost moved pretty well but now this truck has the responsiveness that would rival a gasser. I also have the tweaked turbo pump from DPS which is designed to go with the ATS upgrade so that's got to help a bunch as well.
Too bad Elk Grove isn't closer to me (3 hours), otherwise I might have met you up there for moral support.

What is the 3" ATS housing, is that just something for turbo? On the subject of Turbos, does anybody make & sell a Turbo kit specifically for our trucks. Please provide a link.
Sorry, I can't do a sig yet, I have a '91 F350 dually w/7.3. I need to do an exhaust first & foremost, but I'm liking this truck & if I keep it might put the turbo in.

Gotcha'. Not sure what kind of exhaust this one has on it, but I would hope that if someone went to the trouble to put the turbo on they'd also have done a decnt job on the exhaust. Guess we'll see....

Yeah, bummer. I gather from your reference to it being "up" there, that you are 3 hours further south?
