Hi all, I'm installing RR's HPx, FRx. ATS ported housing, and 6.0 IC now. I can't find the instructions for shortening the wastegate rod on my 2000. I need to as the mounting flanges are definately different heights. Do I just turn the end of the rod back until I reach my desired measurement? I thought I read where you remove the rod and cut it down. Thanks. Taking a breather in the garage.
I already had the stock housing off and was installing the rear FRx fitting and effing dropped it back behind the turbo . I saw it for a second with a mirror but have no idea where it really is. Looks like I'm pulling the turbo off now. REALLY didn't want to do that.
OK, dumb question, once the new housing is mounted, how do I pull the wastegate arm over? It's super tight and because I adjusted it a 1/2" in it's 1/2" shy of fitting.
I used air to push the rod out but it doesn't move far enough.

I completely disconnected my wastegate when I had one. I suggest you get it where you can get the arm over it with air & call it good. Just keep an eye on your boost pressure & EGTs while you're towing. Be prepared to make some adjustments to it if you don't like how it ends up.
OK, I know you all have been waiting by your puters in suspense. Somehow the wastegate pin flipped back, is that the open position? No wonder I couldn't get it to attach. I was messing around and saw that it could flip forward. DUH! Hey, it's my first time playing with these. Granted, if I had pulled the turbo to begin with, I would have seen that. So I adjusted the arm back down to the 1/2" in mark and used a throttle linkage clip.
