It sits at 12.55 with the key off, 9.40 when I crank it. It goes back up to 12.30 volts when I stop cranking it.

The battery is not draining anymore, thats a good thing. I removed a wire from the fuel pump thats on the drivers side and now it doesnt turn on. I removed because it was running with the key in the ignition. The wire was ran from one harness to the other, which was most likely wrong.

Anyone have the fuel pump wiring harness diagram?

The voltages look pretty normal to me but I wish the engine turned over a bit more freely
than it is.

Yeah, it sounds to me like somebody has been mucking with the fuel pump wiring, there
are others out here who should be able to help ya with that.

you can see exposed wire on the top red wire abd bottom red wire, there was a wire runnning across that didnt seem right, so I removed it. Now instead of the pump running 24/7 it doesnt come on at all.

Need to ask a question in order to help.

What engine size is it? 300-I6?

That Fuel pump does not look factory to me.

Maybe I'm confused now... You DON'T want the fuel pump to stay on when
the key is in RUN?

The key goes (from back to front):

ACCESSORIES
OFF
RUN
START

Why wouldn't you want the fuel pump to run when the engine is running?

I'm confused.....

The fuel pump has to be on in run, and in start too.

If it was hooked up correctly, it will not run in accessory.

That fuel pump is a hatchet job put on there to remedy a problem with the factory fuel pump system. You will either have to fix the truck right, and buy the proper parts, or figure out how the previous owner put that pump in, and find a proper hot wire for it.

Fuel System wiring diagram. Hot Fuel Handling.
