Thanks guys for all feedback and responses. Definitely helps alot. And WOW...i didn't even realize their were some out there sooooo expensive. So i guess i should rephrase my initial statement concerning cost. I definitely want one under a grand. Loosk like there are a few that have proven themselves to be good. Thanks guys!!!
For under a grand there are none that are really good. A few may be acceptable, but I wouldn't use one. Been there, done that, spent the money to be safe.

I have the Anderson hitch for my 28' TT. It works ok. Setting it up each time has been kind of a pain in the butt. Unlike a normal distribution hitch, each time you hook it up, you have to back the chains off all the way. You can't leave the settings in the same place. Each time you start from scratch. This has caused me to stop after a short distance and either tighten the chains, or start completely over with setting it up. Once you find the sweet spot, it tows pretty good. Eventually I'm going to sell it and buy a WD hitch. It would probably work just fine for a smaller trailer with not as much tongue weight.
I've only used the Anderson hitch so I can't compare other weight distribution hitches but I've used it on multiple trucks (different heights) with my Jayco octane. It made a world of difference expecially coming through SD and MN with high winds and roller coaster overpasses. Switching heights and tension isn't hard. When my lifted f350 left me stranded in the mountains, I easily adapted the Anderson to my brother-in-laws 1/2 ton truck so I could get my trailer back home.
It is pricey... But not as pricey as all the stuff behind it... And the stuff in front of it is priceless!
I tow a 30ft long 10 ft high, tri axle 14000LB mini stacker and couldn't get over 50 Mph without SERIOUS sway. I'm talking white knuckle ride. And I've had plenty of experience towing (I have my class AZ). I tried the Reese and Blue Ox and neither did the job. I moved the cargo and had it weighed 5 separate times. I had the tongue weight bang on at 15% of the loaded weight. Yes these hitches transferred weight to the front axle but neither of them did much to control the sway. I was seriously going to cut the tongue off this brand new trailer and weld a gooseneck on it.
I started looking online for gooseneck conversions and found the "hensley" and "propride". Hensley is the first generation and ProPride is the latest. I balked at the price but the more I read, the more testimonials just kept coming. So I called and spoke to Sean (the owner). I told him I wasn't sure as the price was pretty steep. He told me if it didn't work he'd give me my money back. Sounded good to me.
I ordered the hitch. The instructions were good, but I had questions. He listed his personal cell number in the instructions and I called him twice after hours and both times he called me back within minutes. This hitch works awesome. I can pull 70 mph all day long with one hand on the wheel.
Like most people, I don't bother to follow up when stuff goes right (only when it goes bad) but I couldn't let this pass. ProPride is a stand up company, with a stand up owner with a stand up product. They deserve the recommendation.
And No I don't know the guy and No I'm not getting paid for this.
I have the Equalizer for 1 year now. Well, Equalizer hitch is a good option for me. The price is higher than other brand but it's really easy to install, the quality and the weight distribution/sway control work very well. But you should take a look at other hitches before buying one.
