Diff fluid change- sealant

Will the black oil resistant RTV stuff work for sealing the diff covers back up? I just bought a tube for the HPOP swap so I'd like to use it if I can.

It does. I read that it would work on Guzzle's mod and maintenance page. Usedit on mine and not a drop so far has leaked. Knock on wood.

The sealant will be fine on the rear but I wouldn't be using that type on anything for the engine. You need the gray ford or international stuff really.

It said oil safe. I only used it to seal the HPOP cover plate so its an easy fix if I need to re-seal.
