every once in i while it feels like my breaks are still holding after i let off the pedal. when this happens, the pedal seems harder than normal. at first i thought stuck caliper, but then decided no, because it dont do it all the time and it will release and it is not pulling, just dragging. its almost like the master cylinder is not releasing the pressure. this may only happen once or twice a day. can the master cylinder stick like that? thoughts?
Mine does that every once in a while also... still not sure what it is. Mine feels like something is catching in the pedal somewhere though. And when I lift it with my foot it's fine, or if I push harder on the pedal it releases fine.

The Flex lines in the braking system can rot on the inside , it keeps fluid from returning to the master cyl
I also believe the flex line theory. Is there a so-called 'best' flex line to install or just get over the counter ones at a auto store? I'm going to be doing this, my disk brakes on the rear are hanging up.

witch flex lines, the ones to the calipers? or the one by the rearend? just replace them all?
If the hoses have never been changed its certainly time. But I imagine all new fronts (at least) are in your future. I'd inspect the rears also. If they are even close worn out go ahead and do those also. Do it once. Do it right.
I looked around a bit for SS braided hoses almost two years ago. At that time they were only available for lifted rigs. I didn't look very hard. I thought the stock length hoses were a bit short. If there is a hydraulics shop near you give them a call and they should be able to make custom hoses if thats the way you want to go.
