Speedo cable is squeaking

Speedo cable is squeaking

If I remember right, cant you diconnect the speedo cable at the back of inst. cluster and shoot some lubricant into to the cable housing?

Got it lubed up... pulled the cable out, slathered some grease on, no more squeaking!
