I think it is what the X-men implement before going into battle.

But I could be wrong.

Go to www.fordpartner.com

You basically get your vehicle 2-4 thousand $'s below MSRP plus any rebates, etc. Also the sales contract is written up in an easily understandable way. No negotiation, etc. is required. You need a company code on the fordpartner site to see the X plan site.

It's a very cool deal. 1-2% below invoice on most trucks and as mentioned above rebates, etc still apply. I work for a large company that Ford offers X-Plan discount to employees. I bought my 2006 SuperCrew under the X-Plan. Very simple transaction and no negociation necessary.

I get the X Plan through work, also. Like the others said, there is no negotiating the price of the new vehicle. They whip out the invoice and point to your price and then they deduct the rebates.

X plan is great. You can get one if you work for a Ford supplier, have a friend/family who's an employee of Ford, have one given to you from a Ford employee or if you own 100 shares of Ford stock for a min of 6 months.

I'm a long time stock holder, so I've been taking advantage of this little deal. But the one thing I've learned is ask the dealer, how is your pricing compared to X plan? Above, below or what. If you just walk in and say I'm going to use my X plan pin, you may find that you are paying more for the vehicle then the dealer would normally sell it for. Especially with the 2011's just around the corner.

X-plan is also available to members of the DAV, Disabled American Veterans. I've used mine and it's a very simple and fairly pleasurable means of dealing with a car dealer.

Plus, it caps the DOC fees to $75 unless otherwise stated by local and state laws.

Under the x-plan you are allowed to see the factory invoice to the dealer.

You must inform them right away that you wish to purchase under this plan. Then ask to see the invoice of the vehicle you wish to purchase. Prices for each plan are clearly listed on the invoice.

Very plan looking computer price out. Nothing like the pretty window sticker.

I used the xplan when I ordered my F-150. Salesman was eager to help. But then, when I ordered the truck, sales were way down. Dealer just wanted to sell anything.

I am currently with the National Guard, but have equal time in the regular army and the guard. 15 years total. I have done 2 tours to Iraq and 1 to bosina. Mostly I have minor issues, but most of them will get worse when I get older and I want to know that some one is one my side when I need to get more help.

PS- I am almost to the finish line and I will retire from the military come hell or high water!

PS (#2)- Thank You to all my fellow Vets both young and old and those that are going to be.

Dude, get that membership. Only $230.00 for a lifetime memebership and you can make payments if needed. You'll save more than that on DOC fees alone!

BTW, thank you for your continued service my friend!

It may sound kind of cheesy. But It is an honor to serve so that others don't have to! I will get that DAV membership sir. And @ tseekins- I have worked with some coasties and they were straight up crazy! Why would you want to jump into a really pissed off storm, in the middle of an ocean? Met a crusty old Chief in Iraq that did that until injuries forced him into inspecting cargo. He was kind of scary Thank you for all you have done too.
