i know i posted many messages bout possiblilities on my f150 but i wanted to know if i could lift my truck 2.5 in and still be able to get 33x12.5 mud brutes on it. would i have to lift my front more than my back cause it looks frikin unlevel. would small wheel spacers be a possiblity so that it wont rub on the inside in the front. i found some in jc whitney that are cheap but i didnt want to use the shocks instead i was wanting to get skyjacker shocks. i just need something cheap that i can fit big tires underneath and make it look good. thanks
glen
if you want to go cheap, and you want to go suspension, then 2 inch leveling coils up front are what you're after. you'll be able to fit 32x11.50s on your stock wheels and they will fill out the wheel wells real nice. if you go up to 33x12.50s you'll need new wheels, and don't forget your going to want to regear to 4.10 if you go up to either one of those, or performance will suck.
if you buy a 2.5 inch lift kit your just wasting your money, might as well go with a 4 inch, and then 33x12.50s will fit much better.
your cheapest bet is to go 3 inch bodylift, then youll have room for 33x12.50s and spend only about 70 bucks lifting it.
theres all kinds of options out there..... just decide how much your willing to spend first.
i bought 2 in blocks for the back axle this summer and i forgot i had them. i was goin to get new shocks and htat should take care of the back. i was thinkin just get bigger springs but is there anythign else i need for the front to level it with a 2 in in the back. i have american racing 15x8 rims that i am running 31x10.5 on right now. what would be my best bet on lifting the front that high. thanks for your imput.

if you bought a 2 inch block kit for the back, then your back will be up 4 inches higher than the front. also, if you bought a cheapo kit, the ubolts won't be long enough if your planning on stacking the new blocks on top of the factory blocks that are already there so youll need custom longer ubolts.
so if you want to go up that high, what i would do is put an add a leaf in the back, take that block kit back to where you got it from, and get a 4 inch kit for the front, then you can run your 33x12.50s. ooooooor you can run 33x10.50s or 32x11.50s on the 15.8 rims you already have. eithr of those sizes will look good on your truck. i am running 31x10.50s with a 4 inch lift and get lots of compliments on how it looks. what year is your f150 by the way?
my truck is a 93, extended cab shortbed. i will send ya a pic if youd like. im tryin to chrome it out but the factory suspension makes it look like **** with the tilting. so your wantin me to raise it 4 in. i dont want it raise way up yet dont get me wrong but i have 31 in mud tires also and i dont know how aggressive that looks under a bigger lift. do you think i could put just a 2in lift in back and 4 in on front and level it out but it be raised up and fit 33's under there. i might just go with 32" because it might be cheaper that way. and about the body lift i dotn want to mess with all that. sorry im so picky, my truck is the only thing im really picky bout in my life.
thanks
glen
dont appologize for being picky my truck is the exact same way to me!!! if i had to do my lift over again, which i am, but im going up 8 inches with a solid axle, but in any case... i would have put leveling coils up front, and add a leafs in the back. it would have costed about 200 bucks, and brought me up 2 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the back. i would have put 32x11.50s on the stock aluminum rims i had, the truck would have been ****, and i still would have had extra money to buy 4.10 gears for it. instead, i went up 4 inches, realized i had 3.31 gears, and could only put 31s on it so i still have OD on the highway. i decided not to regear.... im not going to spend money on gears till i get 4.88s for the solid axle. i would also not do a body lift to my truck, i don't like how they look. im just trying to share my experiences and screw ups so you or anyone else doesn't have to do the wrong thing to learn! if you have any other concerns just ask away
i love my body lift. even if it actually breaks (doubt it) its easy to fix. i had the leveled out look but once u get a lot of wheel space it looks better with the back a little higher than the front
xplod33, Check out the thread "lifting the frontend" I posted there $109 bucks you can't beat that. I know it works. The ride was also better than from the factory. Good luck, Dan
