Leaf Spring Insulator Kit Install

I just recived my front leaf spring insulator kit to rid the squeak and pop in my front end. The kit came with 8 pices all together. 4 pices that i can see where they go they are the ones with the button on the bottom. The other 4 are rectangle and cupped..... almost like a 1/2 pipe. Im not shure where those go. If anyone has any detailed instructions on where they go would be awesome.

I was wondering the same thing when I was looking at the pics, I wonder if the "halfpipe" insulators are for different spring packs?

Those additional pieces are saddles that are to be used if your upper spring has a rounded bushing end instead of a flat bushing end. On my truck, the saddles work on my driver's side spring but not my passenger side(front springs). Install the spring tip isolator (flat piece) as you normally would expect, then while you have the prybar in there still...place the saddle with the cupped side up (flat side towards the isolator pad). Then release the tension (careful not to pinch your fingers). This will hold the saddle in place and give you a quiet ride again.

If you need, I'll go out and take some pics if you would like.

Here is a photo that may help. (sorry for the crappy cell phone pics...)

I don't have the part number for the kit handy. I'll check when I get home. I still have half of the parts because my original isolator pads were still good on the passenger side. The only ones that were trashed were the pads on the driver's side because the upper spring has round ends on the upper spring.

I have seen trucks with a variety of spring arrangements. You may have round ends on the driver and passenger sides or just one or the other. I have yet to see a spring pack where it's different from front to rear though....

Part # 1C3Z-5B302-AA Motorcraft

The bag says "ONE SPRING" but there were enough parts to do two springs. Should have 8 pieces. 4 Saddles and 4 Spring Tip Isolator Pads. (Note: photo only shows 4 pieces because I used half of the parts already...)

Thanks! I've been needing to do this. My truck is starting to sound like an old farm truck creaking and squeeking. Thanks for the part number.
