Power Steering Pump Options

Howdy All

My 2000 Range is going to be needing a new P.S. Pump and oil cooler. I've done a little looking but not real in depth research yet.

I am wondering if anybody here has found a good after market pump and cooler that would be worth looking at?

Also, does the cooler only come with a new Rack? I would like to put off the expense of the rack for now if I could.

Thanks in advance.

The stock pumps are fine. Get a Motorcraft or Motorcraft reman. To ensure the pump holds up, refill the system with MerconV fluid and its not a bad idea to install an inline filter in the return line. Then you can just replace the fluid and inline filter about every year or two. The reason as many OE pumps fail as they do is because the fluid does not get changed as often as it should, and any debris just recirculates till it does damage. A filter solves this problem, but the fluid still needs periodic replacement.
