I have a 95 F150 4x4 extended cab that I need to replace the interior carpeting in. I tried one carpet kit (Nifty brand) and it is considerably cheaper (poor) quality, plus it was manufactured wrong, cut too narrow between the doors. Does anyone have a recomendation about a better quality that is "affordable" to use? What type of experiances have people had replacing their interiors???
What about anyone cleaning the original carpet and padding while it is out of the truck to get rid of ground in dirt and animal smells?
I cleaned my factory carpet using a pressure washer. Took it out of the truck then scrubed in some carpet cleaner and let it set for 10 minutes or so then took the pressure washer to it. Worked great and looked like new again.

I did the same with the interior carpet out of an old Nissan pickup. Took some doing to get it all back in right, but it looked and smelled great. I tore the carpet in a couple small places with the high pressure of the washer, so be careful of that if you try it. 25 years of dirt and grime sure made a mess on the driveway, lol.
I think that would be too rough on it and may even shrink it. It might be super tough to get back in right if that happens. If you don't have a pressure washer I would think even a garden hose with a spray nozzle would be better than nothing.
