I recently found a 79 250 2wd with a 351m auto, dana 60 rear. This truck is in pristine condition, it has a flat bed and is otherwise unmolested. odometer reads approx. 95k kms this is a Canadian truck. what do you guys/gals figure its worth??
I'm betting the owner has it listed around $5000. I'm curious though, if the truck is pristine then why remove the bed? The flatbed does nothing but devalue a clean, what was original truck.
There's a 77 F150 XLT with 70,000km's up Tecumseh way and it's a stunning all original truck nicely optioned and listed at $8500. He's not going to get it but I'd be after that truck before one with a flatbed.
Personally?
Granted its rust and dent free, and nice glass/fair to good paint... 2x4 with a flat bed, not more that $2,000(USD) to 2,500. A 2x4 just ain't worth much up here, and flatbeds are generally useless(To Me/Opinion) especially on a half ton truck.
A 4x4, maybe $3,000 with the flat bed, but with a stock bed, I could go $4,000 or more. For a cherry/99%+ restored or 99%+ original... Maybe $5000 to $6000. Maybe.
But thats based on Here, and my Personal Valuing of these trucks, not so much on market value... they sell higher that those numbers here, at least in 4x4... 2x4s don't do so hot as far as I know.
I also know of places in the rust belt area where $5,000+ would be low to average for a straight unmolested truck, 2x4, flat bed or not..
All depends on personal value, market value, and Location.
great thanks guys im just curios i need parts and it has everything i need! im going to try and talk him down a bit and would still have a half decent truck to flip after i swap parts cheers!!!

Is the cab mint? Are you going to be using it? I'll throw in some cash for the deal if the cab is available!
